Important Dates

There will be a new Intramural starting February 9.  It is Intramural Chess.  All students who want to learn more about Chess, strategies, having fun and making new friends should sign up by bringing their checks for $15.00. Please see the flyer here for more information and dates.

The Highland Middle School 7th Grade Basketball Tournament is January 22 through the 26th.  You may see the bracket here.

The HHS Dance Team will be hosting a camp open to all students in grades Kindergarten through grade 8.  The date of the camp will be February 17, 2018 from 9 am to 3:00 pm in the HE gym.  Please check here for a copy of the flyer with the registration information or flyers can be picked up at the Information Center or the HMS Office.  

Volleyball Tryouts at HMS are coming up.  See the flyer with all the dates and times here.  Students who try out for volleyball MUST have a physical within the last 13 months or they will not be allowed to tryout.  Students may check with the nurse or in the office to see their last physical date.

The HHS Cheerlreaders are sponsoring a cheer clinic for students in grade 3 through grade 8.  The clinic will be held on February 10, 2018, from 9am to 2:00 pm.  Please see the flyer here with more information and a registration form.  Flyers may also be picked up at the HMS Office or the Information Center at HMS.

HHS Bulldog baseball coach, Joel Hawkins invites you to attend the 2018 Bulldog Hitting Camp.  This camp will be hosted at the HHS gym and will under the direction of Coach Hawkins.  There will be a number of competitive activities that will be new to the campers and will reinforce the basics.  
February 23 and 24, 2018 - Open to boys in Grade 6 - Friday from 5:30 to 7:00pm, and Saturday from 10 to 11:30 am
Grade 7 - Friday 7:00 to 8:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
Grade 8 - Friday 8:30 - 10:00 pm and Saturday 1 to 2:30 pm.

Join the SIUE Society of Women Engineers for a day full of exciting engineering space themed projects.  This is open to all girls in grade 5 through 8.  The date is February 17, 2018 and will be held from 9 am to 3:00 pm.  Please see the flyer here.  Flyers may also be found at the Information Center at HMS>

Congratulations to the Highland Middle School Cheerleaders who placed FIRST in the ICCA State Competition today.  This is a first in school history.    Congratulations!!

Attn Bulldog Fans If you are interested in purchasing a cool HMS Tumbler for $15.00, please contact the HMS Office at 651.8800.  Please click here to see a picture of the tumbler.  We also have Bulldog Cinch Saks which are great for sports or PE clothing for $5.00.  Bulldog License Plate Covers are $5.00.  

Mrs. Paulette Todd is offering a drawing classes and painting classes beginning in January.  The classes last 6 weeks.  Please see the flyer with all the information and registration form here.

The Highland Bulldogs Hockey Club (HBHC) is inviting any interested players to contact the team for the upcoming 2017-2018 hockey season. Practices start on Tuesday, September 5 th and the season starts in early November. The team will help outfit the players with the necessary equipment to try this fast-paced exciting sport. HBHC is open to 7th grade (with birth year of 2004), 8th grade, and high schoolstudents that live in the Highland School District.
