The HMS Student Council has a great opportunity for you and your friends to enjoy in some movie fun.  On Friday, February 16th, we will be having a MOVIE NIGHT right after school from 2:45 - 5:00 p.m.  For $5.00, students can enjoy in the movie Shrek, while enjoying a soda, popcorn, and treat.  In addition, we will have tables set-up for device zones . . . games to challenge your friends.  Students who participate in the event also get to wear pajama bottoms to school on Friday.  Remember -- bring your sleeping bags, pillows, favorite stuffed animal, etc. . . . get comfy.  If your student is unable to participate in the event, they may wear pajama bottoms to school that day by donating a dollar.  Please click here to see the flyer with more details.

The Math Team season came to a close with a competition at SIUE last Saturday.  The team consisted of Summer Carroll, Ethan Wilson, Joe Jansen and Brooklynn Lackey, along with alternates Dylan Bollman and Bryant Smith.  Congratulations to Joe Jansen for qualifying for the Countdown Round and placing 10th overall.

  There will be a new Intramural starting February 13, 2018.  Intramural Archery will be held in the Pups Pen. If you are interested in learning about archery, making new friends and having something fun to do after school - please sign up by February 7th.  Archery is limited to the first 60 students.  The cost is $15.00 and you can sign up by bringing your money to the office and signing the sheet at the Information Center.  Intramural Archery goes from 2:45 to 4:00 pm.  Please click here to see the flyer with all the dates.

The HHS Dance Team will be hosting a camp open to all students in grades Kindergarten through grade 8.  The date of the camp will be February 17, 2018 from 9 am to 3:00 pm in the HE gym.  Please check here for a copy of the flyer with the registration information or flyers can be picked up at the Information Center or the HMS Office.  

HHS Bulldog baseball coach, Joel Hawkins invites you to attend the 2018 Bulldog Hitting Camp.  This camp will be hosted at the HHS gym and will under the direction of Coach Hawkins.  There will be a number of competitive activities that will be new to the campers and will reinforce the basics.  
February 23 and 24, 2018 - Open to boys in Grade 6 through 8.

Join the SIUE Society of Women Engineers for a day full of exciting engineering space themed projects.  This is open to all girls in grade 5 through 8.  The date is February 17, 2018 and will be held from 9 am to 3:00 pm.  Please see the flyer here.  Flyers may also be found at the Information Center at HMS>

Congratulations to the Highland Middle School Cheerleaders who placed FIRST in the ICCA State Competition today.  This is a first in school history.    Congratulations!!


Attn Bulldog Fans If you are interested in purchasing a cool HMS Tumbler for $15.00, please contact the HMS Office at 651.8800.  Please click here to see a picture of the tumbler.  We also have Bulldog Cinch Saks which are great for sports or PE clothing for $5.00.  Bulldog License Plate Covers are $5.00.

HIGHLAND BULLDOGS HOCKEY CLUB
The Highland Bulldogs Hockey Club (HBHC) is inviting any interested players to contact the team for the upcoming 2017-2018 hockey season. Practices start on Tuesday, September 5 th and the season starts in early November. The team will help outfit the players with the necessary equipment to try this fast-paced exciting sport. HBHC is open to 7th grade (with birth year of 2004), 8th grade, and high schoolstudents that live in the Highland School District.
