This is my
19th year as a math teacher at Highland Middle School. I grew up in Highland and went on to receive my B.S. in Education with a Middle School endorsement at Eastern Illinois University (2001) and M.S. in Educational Administration at SIUE (2010).

I currently live in Highland with my two children, Logan (13) and Layna (10). In October, I will marry Mr. Chris Hartlieb, and gain two step-children, Geoffrey (24) and Hannah (22). Aside from teaching, I enjoy watching our children’s activities, cleaning/organizing, and spending time with friends and family.

This will be my first year teaching and I cannot be any more excited to start at Highland Middle School. I have lived in Highland my whole life and went through the Highland school system. I receive my Masters in Special Education from McKendree University in the spring of 2018. Before that, I received my Bachelors in Business Administration from Webster University in the fall of 2015.

I have coached the girls’ soccer team at Highland High School for four seasons now. This season will also be my third with the boys’ soccer team. I really enjoy coaching and teaching. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, being outside, and watching the St. Louis Blues.
